PostureZone Posture Assessment Program - Full License
Easy to use photogrammetry program- Choose from quick or comprehensive reports. Illustrated manual is included.

PostureZone is the photogrammetry program for analyzing and documenting postural findings. The posture assessment software generates a postural analysis using a digital image of your patient/client's posture (posture picture). Posture analysis is an effective tool for addressing posture distortions, demonstrating postural improvements with clinical treatments, and conducting wellness assessments.

“Very satisfied with the program. Good feedback especially when they see changes. Provides a measure for posture improvement and balance testing improvement. I recommend it.” -Ethan White

How does it work?

  • Take a picture of your patient/client - front view, side view or back view (use a phone, tablet, iPad or digital camera)
  • Upload the picture to the software
  • You'll have a series of screens by PostureZone: Head, Torso, Pelvis, Lower Extremity (Legs/Feet)
  • Click all options on each screen that apply to what you see on the image
  • Click to produce a pdf report
  • Save on your system, in the patient file, or print a copy

How long will it take?

  • After you've processed a few images, you'll be able to create a report in seconds

Do I need a posture grid?

  • We recommend a posture grid because they produce professional pictures, provide a baseline for future screenings, and allow you to align the picture in the software.
  • If it's not possible to have a grid in the background for all screenings you can certainly process these images and get accurate results.

Can I customize my reports?

  • Yes, there are a number of fields you will fill out the first time you use the software so that your contact information, business name, mission and other info appears on every report.
  • Additionally, there is an additional comments field on each PostureZone screen to detail any specific findings or recommendations

Can I draw lines on the report?

  • Yes, this is an option and is included in the software
  • The program allows you to draw horizontal and vertical lines from specific anatomical points on the body
  • The software will include your line along with the degree of deviation from true horizontal or vertical

Is there a required subscription?

  • No. Once you purchase the program you can use it for as many reports and as long as you like. (Note: the 30 day trial version is good for 30 days only)

Is this program hard to learn?

  • No, it's easy! The manual is under the help menu. There's also a tutorial video.

Can you me more about features?

PostureZone makes it easy for the posture pro to:

  • Import and edit images taken with your digital camera or device
  • Zoom and crop Adjust brightness and contrast
  • Rotate and overlay a digital posture grid
  • Near-perfect image rotation correction can be achieved by aligning our digital grid overlay with the PostureZone Grid in the image background (works with PostureZone wall, door, metric and portable grids)
  • Measure degrees of deviation from true vertical and horizontal by marking various anatomical landmarks

What can I document?

Document Clinical Postural Observations in each biomechanical posture zone, for example you might observe:

  • Cervical extension adaptation (forward head posture)
  • High shoulder on right
  • Tight right arm-body space
  • Left foot pronated
  • There are hundreds of possibilities...

Print posture picture reports with findings up to 3 views

  • AP - Front View
  • PA - Back View
  • Lateral - Side View

For single-date posture reports for a new patient / client baseline exam, or community posture screening, use the included "Strong Posture" information or edit text for your specific needs. You also have the option to create comparison reports using follow-up posture pictures, comparing posture measurements, as well as comparing postures picture pre and post care, or as an annual posture assessment exam.

Pre and post care / treatment / training reports support your posture improvement or rehabilitation plan, while also demonstrating positive results that patients / clients can easily communicate (and show) others, increasing referrals, compliance with care plan, and retention.

Promoting annual posture analysis builds awareness and reminds patients / clients that daily posture exercise (like Strong Posture Exercise Protocols) are an intelligent life habit.

Computer compatibility?

PostureZone is a Windows based program, compatible with Windows operating systems. Please note it is not tablet/touch screen compatible, it must be used with a desktop computer or laptop and mouse.  Mac users must boot to Windows or use Windows Emulator program to run.

Do you want to help more people to move, perform and age well

A posture picture is worth a thousand words, and postural pictures provide compelling visual evidence for patients/clients as well as providing important data for tracking posture changes and choosing appropriate posture exercise rehab protocols. The horizontal and vertical lines make posture deviations easy to identify and explain to patients/clients, plus pre & post posture assessment pictures makes it easy to demonstrate increased symmetry, balance and other improvements or changes.

PostureZone software was developed by posture expert Dr. Steven Weiniger and BodyZone.com the leader in posture rehab exercise, continuing education, and posture certification programs for posture-focused professionals (doctors, therapists, trainers, educators). Created specifically to fill the need in the marketplace for a modern, inexpensive, effective, easy-to-use, clinical posture assessment program. We use it too! In clinical practice, in research and in education.

“My partner and I are using PostureZone for our physical therapy research project. We are comparing forward head posture from the side before and after 2 different exercise programs to see if one is more effective at improving posture. Our research findings will be presented as our thesis at the end of our doctoral program.” -Jordan Burkhart (Supervised by Dr. Craig Ruby), Director of Physical Therapy, Wheeling Jesuit University

Why is PostureZone the best option?

You'll find no cartoon-images, or proprietary "posture number" or grading gimmicks to distract the patient / client from learning your assessment of their postural findings, and recommendations for posture improvement. The program was created to provide the results you need to document progress, and communicate with and motivate the people you're helping.

Unlike other programs there are no monthly or annual fees, no fee-per-report, no supplies to buy.

    Research project & thesis

Posted by Sara C. on 16th Dec 2015

Thank you again for helping us with this project!! The purpose of our study is to compare standing postural traits of baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s soccer athletes (i.e. baseball and softball to men’s and women’s soccer) in order to identify correlations between posture and sport. A secondary purpose of study is to compare the standing postural traits between male and female intercollegiate athletes.

Each participant will complete an informed consent form, a demographic survey (age, sport, years playing, injury history), and will have 4 photographs taken of them (anterior, laterals, and posterior aspects) in front of the grid.

I will use the PostureZone software to analyze the photographs and postures. The project is a qualitative analysis of the different postures of baseball, softball, and soccer athletes.

Posture zone was included with complete turnkey cpep certification package. I used it first thing to assess all clients for a baseline. I like the amount of info captured in a couple minutes and report feature. Plan to print the comparision reports after working through the posture exercise protocols.

    Posture Research Project

Posted by Jordan Burkhart on 17th Nov 2011

My partner and I are using PostureZone and a PostureZone Grid for our physical therapy research project. We are comparing forward head posture from the side before and after 2 different exercise programs to see if one is more effective at improving posture. One program is just a general strengthening program of the core muscles and back. The other program uses Wii Fit yoga. Both programs are 6 weeks long and we will be taking a picture of the participants before and after the program to see if there are any changes. Our research findings will be presented as our thesis at the end of our doctoral program.
    Sincerely,

The postural aids: portable posture grid (a
tremendous draw at our last spinal screening}, posture analysis software, posture package, are also very helpful in educating the patients on the importance of strong posture.

I have been extremely happy with the CPEP
program and its continued support of Dr. Weiniger and Bodyzone.com even after a
    year after completion.

    Warmest Regards, Austin Hsu, D.C.

    Posture Zone for Postural Assessments

Posted by Dr. Bruce Miron on 13th Apr 2011

I am really impressed with the quality of your Posture Zone program. It has excellent features at a very fair price.

I use it on my initial patient visit and review the data with the patient on the report of findings. This sets me apart from other doctors and DC's, letting patients know I am very aware of their body structure and I have a lot more to offer them besides pain relief.

    Amazing Patient Response

Posted by Julie Carpenter on 6th Apr 2011

I wanted to share with you the response that I have had using the Posture Zone program to better educate my patients on the importance of good posture as it relates to spinal health. For years I have used a delineated mirror to show patients their various postural imbalances. When they see that they have a low shoulder, or they have a head tilt or rotation they are always surprised, but the impact does not last.

With the printed report that I can generate within Posture Zone, I can remind the patient what we saw during their exam, and reiterate how that postural imbalance can place uneven pressure on the muscles and therefore nerves in the spine. The response has been amazing. My patients not only retain a better understanding of how important their posture is, they are excited to track their improvements, and the subsequent family referrals are growing everyday. Thank you very much for an easier way to educate my patients!

    Posture Analysis

Posted by Dr. Jason Gardner on 4th Apr 2011

Posture Zone connects our services and posture for our patients and really brings home the importance of continued maintenance care. Taking a posture picture on initial exam and then reviewing it during our report of findings starts patients with the knowledge that I work on more than low back pain. Along with the Strong Posture Exercises, PostureZone has been making a great difference for my patients and increases patient retention and makes getting involved in their own care fun.

Easy to learn, PostureZone is an extremely professional posture assessment program at an extremely reasonable price. Posture Zone is hands down the best and most versatile Posture pro software that I have ever used.

    Posture assesment and posture pictures

Posted by Dr. Alan Thompson on 27th Mar 2011

PostureZone software is a wonderful product! I’ve looked into other products costing 3 times as much and yes even into thousands of dollars. They promise you the moon and or ease of operation and fall way short of either goal. PostureZone is easy to use; you don’t have to be a computer whiz to use it. (I fall into the computer challenged group) This program delivers what it advertises. MOST importantly, the patient “gets it” as soon as they see their best posture can be improved. They want to keep up with the care plan. Thank you for taking the effort to make a cost effective product! The posture grid is a big help also.
